Copra or dry copra or dried coconut copra is the dried white flesh of the coconut from which coconut oil is extracted. Copra can be made by smoke drying, sun drying or kiln drying. Copra is the dried meat of a coconut typically split into two halves. Indonesia is the largest coconut grower in the world and is continually harvested throughout the year. Making Copra: removing the shell, breaking the nut, drying usually done where the coconut palm grows. Copra is used for coconut oil extraction and the residue following extraction is used as animal feed. Usage and Benefits : 

Food   =>   High grade copra is edible and safe for human consumption as food. Normally, edible copra is sold in the market place in dried fruits section.

Raw Material / Extract Coconut Oil  =>   Copra is an oil-bearing raw material and is used to extract coconut oil. It’s rich of lauric acid that can be processed later for edible oil, haircare oil, cooking oil and shortenings, soap, Etc.

Animal Feed  =>  Copra is an excellent diet for some animals like horses and cattles. Copra is crushed into coarse particles and packed commercially for animal feed.
